How to Get Blood out of Pants at Work

Getting a stain on one's clothing at work can be embarrassing, especially if that stain is a blood stain. Many women worry about this problem, due to leakage caused during their period. There are a few simple steps to help remove blood stains from clothing, especially pants. Using these steps should help to get rid of the problem before the stain permanently sets in the clothes.

Blot the blood stain as quickly as noticed with a paper towel or toliet paper to remove excess blood.

Wet a paper towel with cool water and try to remove the stain by rubbing it vigorously. This should work to remove a fresh stain. The remaining steps can be completed once at home, if the stain is still visible.

Soak the stain in cool water, if Step 2 does not work.

Make a mixture of 1 parts meat tenderizer and 2 parts cold water and rub it on the stain, if it has set in over the course of the day. Allow the pants to sit out for 30 minutes and then launder with a mild detergent. Do not dry until the stain is removed. Repeat the process until the stain is completely gone prior to drying the pants.
