Things You'll Need

  • Kerosene

  • Rag

  • 1 tsp. soap

  • 1 cup water

  • Bowl

  • Sponge

  • Paper towel

Plexiglass is a type of thermoplastic that looks like glass, but is lighter and less sensitive. If paint accidentally stains your plexiglass, the plexiglass must be cleaned in a special way, as plexiglass can scratch easily. This makes non-abrasive cleaning methods absolutely necessary.

Step 1

Pour a small amount of kerosene onto a rag.

Step 2

Rub the rag onto the paint stain until it comes off.

Step 3

Mix 1 teaspoon of gentle soap with 1 cup of warm water in a bowl.

Step 4

Dip a sponge into the soapy water. Squeeze out the excess moisture.

Step 5

Rub the sponge onto the plexiglass to clean off the kerosene.

Step 6

Rinse the area with water, and dry it with a paper towel.
