How to Remove Hair Dye Stains. Hair dye stains can be difficult to remove if they are not treated right away. Once they dry, it becomes more challenging to clean the stain. Hair dye stains are most often found on clothes, bathroom floors and bathroom surfaces and occur during hair dye application.
Rub away the stain right away. The quicker that the hair dye is wiped away, the easier it will be to remove the stain.
Try vinegar and warm water to remove hair dye stains from any type of fabric. Keep spraying the vinegar and water mixture directly on the stain. Keep wiping at it until the stain is removed.
Use rubbing alcohol on marble surfaces. If the hair dye has stained a marble fixture in your bathroom, use a small amount of rubbing alcohol to remove the stain. Rubbing alcohol can also be used on tile flooring.
Put carpet cleaner and warm water on any carpet stains. Scrub at the spot until the hair dye stain has been removed.
