You can use steam cleaners on tile floors, laminate wood floors or carpeted floors. Unlike many steam cleaners, the Smart Living Steam Mop uses dry rather than wet steam. This means that the laminate or wood floors don't get very wet. This will help prevent them from buckling. Use the machine properly to prevent damage to your floors. You can also use the machine to clean your upholstery.
Twist off the Smart Living steam cleaner's cap by rotating it counter-clockwise.
Fill the tank with cold water from your tap using the beaker provided in the Smart Living Steam Mop kit. A full tank will provide 20 minutes of continuous steam.
Close the tank by twisting the cap back on.
Plug in the Smart Living Steam Mop.
Lay the microfiber cloth over the floor and press the steam cleaner over the microfiber pad to attach the pad to the steam cleaner. Press the carpet glider over the microfiber pad if you are cleaning the carpet.
Press the green foot switch to activate the steam.
Slide the steam cleaner slowly over your floor. Replace the microfiber cloth as soon as it gets dirty so that you are picking up the dirt rather than pushing it around.
Let the floor dry completely.
Remove the top of the handle by pulling it off. Pull the rubber grip off the end of the handle and attach it to the end of the bar on the machine. This will convert the Smart Living Steam Mop into a hand-held steamer.
Operate the steamer in the same manner over your upholstery. Use a clean microfiber pad and work underneath cushions to clean the upholstery completely. Push the steamer over the surface of the upholstery. Allow them to dry before reassembling the upholstery. Only steam clean upholstery that is washable with water solutions.
