Place rugs at every door to minimize dirt. Use felt pads on furniture legs to prevent scratches; replace them when the pads become dirty and worn.
Do not damp mop the floor. Do not use detergents or household cleaners on the floors; they are harsh and may damage the floor.
Bellawood's prefinished floors require basic everyday maintenance, similar to all hardwood flooring. The company offers a few suggestions on cleaning its floors. Additionally, as is the case with most hardwood floors, the manufacturer recommends using a specific cleaner, available only through Bellawood. For sparkling, clean floors and to extend the flooring's life, use this cleaner along with the cleaning methods recommended.
Move any furniture out of the way before cleaning your Bellawood hardwood floors.
Sweep up dirt on a daily basis with a soft bristle broom.
Wipe up sticky spills immediately with a soft cloth moistened slightly with water.
Spray the microfiber mop head lightly with the hardwood floor cleaner to remove larger areas of residue, when necessary. Sweep the microfiber head smoothly over your floor, working in the direction of the wood grain in parallel strokes until you reach the opposite side of the room.
Wipe a soft, absorbent cloth, such as a cloth diaper, over the surface of the floor to remove leftover residue and streaking.
