Dry hair can lead to all sorts of problems on top of your noggin. Split ends, fried looking frizzled locks, and dry and brittle clumps can take root. Yikes! But before you run out and buy a $15 bottle of super conditioner, try using an odd but effective method for restoring your hair to its shiny crown atop your head. The following article will show you how to use an everyday kitchen condiment as a natural hair conditioner.
Buttering up and shampooing out
Cut off a pat of butter from a bar. You may want to let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes so it softens up a little and is easier to work with.
Work the butter into your hair, just as you would with regular shampoo or conditioner.
Cover your hair with a shower cap and let the butter sit for half an hour.
Remove the shower cap and then shampoo and rinse your hair as you normally would. Repeat the shampoo process if you feel like the butter is playing hard to get and needs an extra scrub to be removed.
