How to Make Flour Paste

There's no need to purchase expensive store-bought adhesives if you're just pasting paper or other lightweight objects back together. With a little flour and water, you can whip up your own sticky concoction and save your money.

Step 1

Combine whole wheat flour and very cold water in a saucepan.

Step 2

Mix the paste with a spoon until it is smooth and free of lumps.

Step 3

Heat the mixture on the stove until boiling, stirring continuously to prevent scalding.

Step 4

Cool the mixture on the counter until it is room temperature, or place it in the refrigerator for a few minutes.

Step 5

Stir the paste until it is soft and use it right away.
