Sharpies are permanent markers that come in thick, normal or fine tips. The markers can be used for nearly anything from labeling containers to drawing artwork. No matter what your use for the Sharpie markers, you may sometimes forget to put the cap back on or have let the marker sit for too long. If your Sharpie tip dried out, luckily you can usually get it restarted.
Twist off the cap of a bottle of rubbing alcohol.
Fill the cap about 3/4 full with rubbing alcohol.
Dip the Sharpie marker tip into the rubbing alcohol, and let it sit for about 10 seconds, or until you see residue seeping into the rubbing alcohol.
Place the cap back onto your Sharpie and let it sit for about 15 minutes.
Use the Sharpie marker as usual.
