How to Use the Eureka Enviro Steamer With Steam

William Pullman

The Eureka Enviro Steamer uses steam to clean and disinfect hard floor surfaces. It is small and light for increased maneuverability, and also self-contained, meaning you don't have to mess with a bucket or anything else.

The steamer can save you time, money and the physical labor needed to clean floors with standard mops.

  1. Open the fill cap on the steamer base and insert the funnel.

  2. Fill the measuring cup twice with water, pour it into the steamer and place the cap back on the steamer base.

  3. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet and set the steamer on the preheating tray.

  4. Press the power button to preheat the steamer, which takes approximately three minutes. Steam will start coming out of the cleaner when it is ready for use.

  5. Clean your floor by pushing and pulling the steamer over the floor as if you were using a standard hard floor cleaner. The cleaner will emit a constant stream of steam as long as there is water in the tank.

  6. Disinfect an area of the floor by holding the steamer over it for approximately eight seconds. Do not leave the steamer in one spot for longer than 15 seconds or it might damage the floor.

  7. Refill the water tank when the cleaner stops emitting steam by turning off the cleaner, unplugging the power cord and repeating Steps 1 and 2.

  8. Resume cleaning by turning the cleaner on again.

  9. Unplug the cleaner and pour the remaining water out of the tank by removing the fill cap and dumping the water into a sink. The steamer should never be stored with water in the tank.

  10. Pull both ends of the floor cloth off of the head of the mop and rinse it in water after each use. Let the floor cloth air dry, as putting it in the dryer could cause it to shrink.
