Bosch has been a trusted manufacturer of home appliances since the late 1800s. One of the company's highest-selling appliances is dishwashers. Bosch dishwashers do an excellent job of cleaning dishes. It is important to periodically clean the inside of your Bosch dishwasher. Food and grime accumulate on the inside of the machine. Cleaning a dishwasher is a quick task that will help to ensure each load of dishes comes out sparkling clean. Common household products are used to clean a dishwasher.
Empty the dishwasher. If there are any removable trays or racks, take them out.
Fill the kitchen sink with water as hot as you can tolerate. Add a few squirts of dish soap to the water and use your hands to mix it up.
Dip an old toothbrush into the soapy water. Scrub around the perimeter of the dishwasher door and hard-to-reach corners. Scrub any other small crevices inside of the dishwasher with the toothbrush and soapy water. Make sure to scrub along the hinges of the door. Rinse the toothbrush in the soapy water frequently while cleaning.
Dip a sponge into the soapy water. Wipe down the surface of the inside door, making sure to clean up the grime that was loosened with the toothbrush. Wipe down the inside walls of the dishwasher, as well as the top surface above the top rack, with the sponge and soapy water.
Pull the bottom rack out of the dishwasher. Wipe around the drain area with a rag and soapy water.
Wet a clean sponge with plain water. Wipe down all of the areas you cleaned with the soapy water to remove any residue.
Put all racks and trays back inside the dishwasher.
Fill a dishwasher-safe cup with distilled white vinegar. Place the cup on the top rack inside the dishwasher. Sprinkle a handful of baking soda onto the bottom tub of the dishwasher.
Run the dishwasher through a short, full cycle, using the hottest water setting available. The vinegar assists in rinsing away loosened debris and also sanitizes and removes odor. Baking soda will help to remove any stains and freshen up the dishwasher.
