A Simon XT alarm is a security system that works as an intrusion alarm system and can offer fire warning and emergency notification, or any combination of the three. Its components include a control panel and devices such as door and window sensors and smoke detectors, as well as devices that respond to commands from the panel. These could include lamp and appliance modules to turn them on and off at programmed times. If the settings you have programmed into the Simon XT no longer suit your purposes, or if the alarm has a problem, you can reset it.
Open the Simon XT alarm's panel cover.
Unplug the transformer and disconnect the battery.
Press the "Door+Windows," "Motions," "Disarm" and "Status" buttons simultaneously on the front of the panel and also press the "Tamper" switch on the inside of the panel and hold them.
Reconnect the battery while continuing to hold the four buttons and switch.
Release the buttons.
Plug in the transformer and the Simon XT alarm is reset.
