Guide on How to Set a Brinks Security Light

Keep away burglars and intruders with a Brinks Home security light: It makes them believe that someone is home, even when they are not. Brinks home security lights are designed to activate when motion is detected in the path of the security sensor. The lights can be directed and pointed at several angles. Dark areas such as the driveway, garage or backyard can be lit up automatically to help guide you when arriving home at night.

The Brinks security light can also connect to a wall switch.

Step 1

Point the security lights in the direction of the area you wish to light up. Use your hand to guide and angle each light towards your chosen detection area.

Step 2

Adjust the sensitivity setting to determine how much motion it will take to engage the light. Push the sensitivity button labeled "Sens." Continue to push the button until the green light on the front of the security panel indicates your chosen sensitivity setting.

Step 3

Set the time, to determine how long the light will stay on, once the light has been engaged. Press the "Time" button to choose a setting between 30 seconds to 3 minutes.

Step 4

Select the white light rejection feature. This will prevent the light from reacting to lit objects, such as vehicle headlights. Move the white light detection switch underneath the light panel to the left, to engage this feature, or to the right to bypass.
