Ask for help. Replacing a storm window is easier if two people secure the window and replace the holding strips.
The Pella storm door comes with interchangeable windows and screens. The process for replacing a window is essentially the same as installing a screen and can be done without removing the door from its hinges. When working with a large glass panel, it may be helpful to have another person to hold the glass while you work.
Remove the vertical strips along the sides of the storm window by gently pulling the corners away from the door frame.
Hold the glass while removing the horizontal strip along the top of the storm window. Carefully lift out the window and set it aside.
