How to Find the Year of a Clark Forklift

Forklifts assist with many types of work. All the lifting and moving done with a Clark forklift can take its toll on the lifting cylinders and frame stability. Greasing all the cylinders and pistons on your Clark forklift will lengthen the life of the machine, but sometimes a repair is unavoidable and you will need the Clark forklift VIN to order parts. The VIN will allow you to identify the model and year of your Clark forklift.

Step 1

Locate the small steel plate attached to the rear of your Clark forklift. The plate will be on the back of the Clark forklift under the propane tank holder.

Step 2

Wipe any grease or debris off the small steel plate.

Step 3

Write down the VIN found on the small steel plate.

Step 4

Contact your local Clark forklift dealer or go to the Clark forklift website under the references.

Step 5

Give them the Clark forklift VIN and order the needed part.
