Many Totaline brand thermostats come with a built in keypad lock to prevent accidental or unauthorized changes to the heating or cooling settings. This is useful for preventing accidental temperature changes or if you have young children who like to press buttons in your home. You can override the keypad lock on your Totaline thermostat by pressing the correct combination of buttons. Allow roughly 30 seconds for this task.
Locate the "MODE" and arrow buttons ("Up" and "Down") on the front of the thermostat.
Press and hold down "MODE."
Press the "Up" and "Down" arrow buttons together. The "Locked" icon will disappear, allowing you to use the thermostat.
