How to Make a Stain Glass Window From Jolly Ranchers

Want to create a stained-glass window, but do not know where to start? Stained glass does not just mean the detailed work of artisans in churches and historic properties. You can make your own stained glass at home using Jolly Ranchers. Melted down Jolly Ranchers are translucent just like stained glass, and you can melt them down to the shape of your choice.

Stained glass does not have to be the work of artisans.

Step 1

Cut a piece of parchment paper to cover the entire top of the cookie sheet. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2

Spray the inside of the cookie cutters with nonstick cooking spray. This will make it easier to remove the finished Jolly Rancher stained glass. Then place the cookie cutters on top of the parchment paper covered cookie sheet.

Step 3

Unwrap the Jolly Rancher candies in your choice of colors. The amount depends on the size of the cookie cutter. It will range from three to eight. Arrange the candies inside the cookie cutters to your liking.

Step 4

Put the cookie sheet in the oven once it has preheated. Bake for six minutes.

Step 5

Remove the cookie sheet from the oven, it will be hot so use hot pads. Let it cool. When the tray is semi-cool use a wooden skewer to put a hole in the top of each molded piece of glass. You will put ribbon through this hole in order to hang it.

Step 6

Pop each molded piece of Jolly Rancher glass from the cookie cutter gently once completely cooled. Thread a piece of ribbon through the hole you made in each piece and tie it in a loop. You are now ready to hang your stained glass.
