The pressure switch is a necessity when using a Whirlpool washer. If the switch fails or there is a connection error, the fault code "F32" will appear on the LCD screen. There are multiple ways to fix the error.
The pressure switch detects water levels in the washer and is used during every load of laundry. Long time use and basic malfunctions could cause the pressure switch to fail.
The pressure switch is located in the far back right-hand corner of the Whirlpool washer. Look for a small circular shaped part with five tiny wires connected into it.
Make sure all the tiny wires are not stripped and are properly connected into the pressure switch. Check to see that the cables running from the switch to the washer are properly connected. Try running an empty load of wash to see if the switch malfunctions again.
If the switch still malfunctions and the "F32" reappears, you will need to replace the pressure switch in your washer. Use Whirlpool's customer service to ensure that you order to correct part for your model washer.
