Whirlpool Duet washers and dryers have digital control panels that are used to select the appliance's cycle settings. The control panel contains a digital display, which outputs information pertaining to the cycle selected. If the washer or dryer malfunctions, a fault code is often displayed on the screen. In some cases, you may be able to clear the error and resume using the appliance. Prior to clearing the error, be sure to note the code for future reference if the error occurs again.
Write the error code down so you won't forget it after it is cleared.
Press the "Pause/Cancel" button on the control panel twice to clear the error.
Contact a certified repair technician if pressing the "Pause/Cancel" button does not clear the error, as this indicates that a component has failed in the washing machine or dryer. When you contact the technician, provide him with the error code so that he can diagnose the appliance.
