How to Get the Kickplate Off a GE Profile Refrigerator

The GE Profile refrigerator comes in side-by-side, bottom or top freezer or french door styles. Its features include adjustable bins and shelves, water filtration and dispensing, ice maker, temperature and humidity controlled drawers, and large capacity. All of the Profile refrigerators have a kickplate on the bottom front of the unit that may need to be removed in order to clean the drain pan or perform other maintenance tasks.

Step 1

Remove the screws on each side of the kickplate on the front bottom of the refrigerator. Set the screws aside.

Step 2

Lift up on the kickplate and pull it forward carefully.

Step 3

Set the kickplate aside to access the interior of the refrigerator.

Step 4

Lower the kickplate back onto the refrigerator to replace it and tighten the screws.
