The NuWave oven is a product by Hearthware that uses infrared heat to cook foods. The NuWave oven itself is a small countertop appliance capable of cooking the same types of foods as a regular oven. Among the selling features are the fact that you don't have to preheat the NuWave and the fact that you can cook foods from frozen. Keeping your NuWave oven clean is not a complex process, but you must observe some basic rules to keep all of the components working properly.
Unplug the NuWave and disassemble it after use. Twist off the power head at the top, then lift off each successive piece of the oven.
Wash the plastic dome, liner pan, cooking rack and base with warm, soapy water and a clean cloth. Wash these parts in your dishwasher in a normal cycle, if desired.
Hold the power head in your hand and wipe it down with a damp dish cloth or sponge to remove any dirt or food. Don't put this piece in the dishwasher.
