How to Calibrate a KitchenAid Superba Oven

KitchenAid Superba ranges and ovens are residential cooking appliances manufactured by Whirlpool. Superba ovens and ranges utilize an electronic oven control that allows you to set the oven mode and the temperature using touch-pad controls, rather than a rotary knob. After regular use, the oven temperature may begin to vary from the set temperature. To ensure that your oven is always set to the correct temperature, use the electronic oven control to calibrate the oven.

Step 1

Place an oven thermometer in the oven, then preheat the oven to a common temperature, such as 400 degrees. After the preheat cycle has completed, look at the thermometer to check the true temperature of the oven. This will allow you to determine the calibration needed.

Step 2

Press and hold the "Bake" button. If calibrating a double oven, press the "Upper Oven" or "Lower Oven" button before pressing the "Bake" button to set the oven that you would like to control.

Step 3

Release the "Bake" button once calibration settings appear on the screen, which takes about five seconds.

Step 4

Press the "Bake" button to increase the temperature offset in five-degree increments. Press the "Broil" button to decrease the temperature offset in five-degree increments.

Step 5

Press the "Start" button to save your settings.
