Texas Instruments has released an official program for its TI-89 calculator that allows you to transfer text files from your PC to the device. You just write your notes in the body of a specific program on your Windows PC and sync those notes to the calculator. Once all of your notes are stored in the memory of your TI-89, you can take them with you wherever you go.
Download and install the NoteFolio Creator Software application from the official Texas Instruments website (see Resources). With the NoteFolio application website loaded onto your browser, click "Download" to open a new page. Click "NoteFolio Creator Software" to download the appropriate file to your computer. Double-click the file to install NoteFolio on your computer.
Click on the "NoteFolio Creator Software" desktop shortcut icon to open it.
Click the "New NoteFolio" icon to open a new blank text document onscreen. Type the notes you want to send to your calculator in the window onscreen. If your notes already exist in another program, you can highlight them, select "Copy" and select "Paste" to insert them into the NoteFolio program.
Connect your TI-89 calculator to your computer using its included USB cable.
Click the "Send to Device" icon in the NoteFolio Creator Software window. Type a name for your notes file ("Math Notes," for example). Click "OK." Select the icon for your TI-89 calculator to send the notes from your PC to the machine.
