How to Replace Parts on a Cook's Essentials Pressure Cooker

Daniella Lauren

Your Cook’s Essentials pressure cooker is manufactured to work without problems when properly taken care of. Never dismantle the unit yourself; attempting repairs on your own may void your warranty.

Before you call a qualified repair person to install a new part, perform some simple maintenance to see if that will take care of the problem.

Tip

Only use Cook’s Essentials–approved replacement parts in your pressure cooker. Not using recommended parts for the device may cause fire or injury.

  1. Hand-wash and thoroughly dry the pieces of your Cook’s Essentials pressure cooker to keep it in the best working order. Never use harsh detergents or scouring pads on the pressure cooker elements, as this may scratch the nonstick surface of the cooker.

  2. Clean the sensor pad of the pressure cooker after each use. This helps keep your device in working order.

  3. Check parts, such as the rubber gasket located under the self-locking lid, for damage or wear. Replace the gasket if you see cracks or if the gasket has shrunk. Contact the Cook’s Essentials Company at 1-800-233-9054 for information on obtaining replacement parts for your pressure cooker.

  4. Call a repair person instead of dismantling the pressure cooker yourself. Any servicing other than cleaning the device or replacing the rubber gasket should be performed by a qualified repair person.
