The Williams-Sonoma Company designed the All-Clad Belgian waffle maker in two sizes -- two squares and four squares. With its stainless steel outer construction and nonstick finish, this waffle maker can make waffles that are crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. Make Belgian waffles in the All-Clad waffle maker, following the manufacturer instructions, for a delicious breakfast meal at any time of the day or evening.
Position the waffle maker in a location where it sits on a level surface with ample clearance above the waffle maker to enable you to lift the lid and for steam to escape.
Plug the waffle maker in while you prepare the batter and turn the dial to set the browning of the waffles. Placing the dial in a straight-up position will produce medium-brown waffles. Mix the batter in the mixing bowl, following a waffle recipe.
Allow the waffle maker to heat up for approximately five minutes. When the light on the right turns green and you hear a beep, the waffle maker is hot enough.
Open the hot waffle maker to add the batter. Pour about 1/2 cup of waffle batter into each waffle compartment. Any overflow batter will flow out the back of the waffle maker into a removal container without making a mess on the counter.
Close the waffle maker and allow it to cook the waffles. When the light turns green again and you hear another beep, the waffles are finished.
Open the waffle maker and lift the waffles out of the waffle maker using the wooden or nylon spatula or tongs. Do not touch the interior surfaces of the waffle maker or you may burn yourself.
Continue making additional waffles until you use all the waffle batter.
Unplug the waffle maker and allow it to cool completely on the counter.
Pull the plastic overflow container up and off of the back of the waffle maker. Wash this container in warm, soapy water, rinse it and dry it. Wipe away the waffle crumbs and any residual batter from the interior surfaces of the waffle maker with a damp dishcloth. Wipe down the outer surfaces of the waffle maker with the dishcloth.
