The Rival 1101E-2 is a heavy-duty professional meat and cheese slicer that is no longer manufactured. Made of chromed steel, the slicer weighs approximately 12 lbs. and can handle any type of boneless meat or large blocks of cheese. The blade can be positioned to slice deli thin or as thick as desired.
Ensure that all parts of the slicer are there before you attempt assembly. Necessary parts include the blade, blade holder, spring screw, feeder tray and food press. Place the slicer base on a flat, even surface.
Attach the sliding feeder tray to the rails of the slicer, pressing firmly so the plastic tabs lock into place.
Place the slicer blade into the blade holder indentation on the back of the slicer. Press the blade holder into the indentation on the blade.
Secure the blade into place by inserting the spring screw through the back of the blade housing and tightening the screw into place.
Plug the electric cord into an electrical outlet. Place the meat or cheese on the sliding feeder tray. Turn on the machine by sliding the black button on the motor assembly forward.
Slide the meat or cheese toward the blade, using the food press.
Adjust the thickness using the knob on the back of the blade assembly.
