The Energizer battery charger is an appliance that allows consumers to charge rechargeable batteries. The most popular battery charger from the company is the "15 Minute Charger." This allows users to charge their AA batteries in 15 minutes. This charger holds four batteries at the same time. In order to use the charger effectively, you need nickel metal hydride (NiMH) rechargeable batteries. If you use a different kind of battery, you could risk an explosion or a battery rupture.

Toss your old battiers and use rechargable units.

Step 1

Plug the two-prong AC adapter into the wall outlet in your home. If you are using the car jack adapter, plug it into the power outlet in your car.

Step 2

Plug the other end of the adapter into the power jack on the back of the charger.

Step 3

Insert your batteries into the battier compartments on the unit. Make a note of the "-" and "+" signs on the batteries in order to place them properly.

Step 4

Look at the indicator light on the unit. When the light is red, the batteries are charging.

Step 5

Wait 15 minutes until the indicator light has changed to green. This indicates that the batteries are charged. Remove the batteries from the charger.
