Utilitech Digital Programmable Timer Instructions

Stephen Lilley

A Utilitech digital programmable timer is a device that you can use to turn on lights or other appliances in your home at specific times. You plug the programmable timer into a wall outlet in your home, and then connect the desired device directly to the timer.

Once you set both the current time and the time you want your device to come on, the Utilitech timer will take care of the rest.

  1. Plug your Utilitech digital programmable timer into a wall outlet. The device's LCD display illuminates.

  2. Press the "Clock" button. Press the "Hour" and "Minutes" buttons to set the hours and minutes to the current time. Press the "Day" button to specify the current day (if applicable to your model). When you're finished, the current time displays on the LCD screen.

  3. Plug the power cable of a device that you want to control into the power input on the timer.

  4. Press the "PROG" or "Program" button. Press the "Day," "Hours" and "Minutes" buttons to set a specific day and time at which you want the timer to power on that device.
