Stove Top Cooking Directions

Stove Top is a simple-to-make dried stuffing mix. Stove Top stuffing flavors include chicken, pork, cornbread and savory herbs, among others. Stove Top stuffing makes a tasty side dish for holiday dinners.

Step 1

Boil 1 1/4 cups of water in a saucepan.

Step 2

Add 4 tablespoons of butter or margarine to the boiling water and allow it to melt.

Step 3

Pour the dry Stove Top stuffing mix into the boiling water. Turn off the stove burner. Stir the mixture into the water. Cover the pan with a lid and allow the stuffing to stand for five minutes prior to serving it.

Step 4

Customize the prepared Stove Top stuffing with a variety of mix-ins. Stir in 1/2 cup of shredded carrots, one can of sliced mushrooms, 1/2 cup almonds, pecans or any other type or nuts, or one can of drained mandarin orange segments. Add just one mix-in or several at one time, depending on your preferences.
