Plastic displays attract dust, dirt and grime. Certain cleaners will leave your plastic display clean but with a hazy film that is a challenge to remove. If you try to remove the haze by cleaning it again with the same cleaner that caused the haze, you may make the hazy film worse. To clean a hazy plastic display, you need an alcohol solution that can break up the hazy film and a non-abrasive cloth or towel.
Spray the plastic display with a can of compressed air to blow any loose dist and dirt from the display surface.
Mix in a pot 1 cup of rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) and 1 cup of warm water. Stir the mixture with a spoon. Wear latex gloves to keep your hands from getting wet.
Dip a non-abrasive lint-free cloth or towel in the pot of alcohol solution. Wring out excess solution.
Wipe the hazy plastic display with the damp cloth or towel. Wipe in one direction starting at the top of the display.
Re-dip the non-abrasive lint-free cloth or towel in the pot of alcohol solution. Wring out excess solution.
Continue wiping the plastic display until the hazy film is gone.
Let the plastic display air dry.
