How to Set Fedders Air Conditioner 24 Hour On/Off Timers

As a division of the Airwell Group, Fedders has been manufacturing residential air conditioning units since 1950. Many of the Fedders' through the wall and portable room air conditioners produced in recent years include a 24-hour timer feature that can be programmed to turn the unit on or off at the specified times. Setting the 24-hour timer for a Fedders air conditioner is simple and can be done using the buttons on the appliance remote or unit control panel.

Step 1

Locate the "Timer Control" button on your Fedders appliance remote or air conditioner unit control panel.

Step 2

Press the "Timer Control" button; the air conditioner will turn on and "00" will appear on the control panel digital display. Set the number of hours that you want the unit to wait before turning on. Use the "Up" and "Down" arrow buttons on the remote or control panel to adjust the digits on the display to the desired value; a green indicator light will illuminate next to the "Timer Control" button on the control panel to indicate that the timer has been set successfully.

Step 3

Press the "Timer Control" button on the remote or control panel while the unit is powered on; "00" will appear on the digital display. Set the number of hours that you want the unit to run before turning off. Press the "Up" and "Down" arrow buttons to adjust the digits on the display to reflect the desired number of hours; the green indicator light will illuminate to confirm that the timer has been successfully programmed.
