How to Deflate an Aerobed

An AeroBed functions like a normal bed; however, it inflates and deflates with the help of a pump. You can use an AeroBed in any room of your house, but choose a location away from extreme heat. AeroBed mattresses inflate and deflate in seconds. You don't need additional tools to deflate an AeroBed, and the pump used to inflate and deflate the mattress is already installed. Once you deflate your AeroBed, store it in its original duffel bag for safe keeping.

Step 1

Undo the quick air release valve by pulling it out. Find the quick air release valve at the foot of the bed. Press down on the AeroBed to gently guide air from the mattress.

Step 2

Press the "One Touch Comfort Control" to wind the electrical cord.

Step 3

Walk the sides of your AeroBed in toward the quick air release valve. Turn over each fold tightly to drive any remaining air out of your AeroBed.

Step 4

Close the quick release valve and lock your AeroBed.

Step 5

Pack your AeroBed inside the duffel bag and store it in a cool, dry location.
