This article explains how to model a small bathroom in your home, one that can be used for guests or as a half-bath. In this case, a small bathroom consists of a toilet and a sink, with no bathing facilities. Mirrors, towel racks and other accessories can also inhabit a small bathroom.
You can either have an existing space in your house become your bathroom, or you can build new walls that will encapsulate your bathroom. Decide what is best for you.
Perform the necessary demolitions. Tear up any unwanted floor and walls, and dispose of them. Remove anything else that will get in the way of building your small bathroom.
Make a plan and write out a design. Make all the major decisions before you start building. Choose flooring, wall covering, toilet, sink, etc. Know how much room you have in your bathroom to work with and what limitations your materials present.
Install the plumbing and the electrical. These are areas which require expertise, and it is best to call in a professional for these two important steps.
Decide if you'll need ventilation and install it at this point.
Install the flooring. Depending on which flooring you chose, there will be different installation processes. Flooring choices include ceramic tiles, concrete, bamboo, cork, modular carpet (or "FLOR"), pebbles or even rubber leather!
Finish up the walls. You can put up drywall and paint it. You could even use some flooring material for the walls. Or you may prefer to use wallpaper.
Install all the desired accessories. Cabinetry, cupboard mirrors, towel racks and toilet-roll holder are all things that belong in a small bathroom.
