Programmable Honeywell thermostats provide the option for customized temperature controls based on the time and day to decrease energy use at night or when you are out of the house, lowering utility bills. If your thermostat was previously programmed or you simply wish to modify the settings with a new program, you can do so by clearing the thermostat. Once cleared, all previous settings are erased from the thermostat's memory, allowing you to create a new heating or cooling schedule.
Push "Set" three times on the front of the Honeywell thermostat until "Set Schedule" appears on the thermostat's display.
Press the up or down button to adjust the time at which you want the program to start. The new time simultaneously changes the previous settings.
Push "Set" to enter the new time. Slide the switch on the bottom of the thermostat to "Heat" or "Cool" to configure the settings for the heating or cooling feature.
Push the up or down button to scroll through the desired temperature and push "Set." Select the time for the next temperature setting and push "Set" to enter it into the thermostat.
Scroll through the temperature level with the up or down button, and push "Set" to enter the new temperature for the specific setting.
Push "Run" to run the thermostat with the new settings.
