How to Clean Cherry Juice Stains Off Hands

Andrew Smith

If you are preparing cherry pie or another cherry-heavy food, cherry juice stains may appear on your hands. Unlike other stains or dirt, the cherry stains can remain on your hands even after you have washed them with hand soap and water.

Cherry juice stains can be tamed with lemon juice.

This can be frustrating and may spread the mess further if you accidentally transfer cherry stains onto other items. The secret to removing them is another juice that can lift these types of stains right off your hands.

  1. Dry your hands completely.

  2. Squeeze at least 1 tsp. of fresh lemon juice onto your palms.

  3. Rub your hands together for about 30 seconds. Make sure to cover all of your hands with the fresh lemon juice.

  4. Rinse your hands with lukewarm water.

  5. Wash your hands thoroughly with your everyday hand soap and water. Then, dry your hands with a cloth or towel.

  6. Inspect your hands and repeat the process if the cherry juice stains remain.
