Picking a deadbolt lock will be a time conuming project.

Picking a deadbolt lock is something that people will have to do if they lose the key to the deadbolt. Inside the deadbolt lock is a set of tumbler pins that will need to be pushed upwards and matched up with the pattern of pin on the inner top of the lock in order to pick the lock and open it. The proper tools will be needed.

Step 1

Bend the bobby pin so it is straight. Insert the bumpy side of the bobby pin into the keyhole on the deadbolt lock.

Step 2

Insert the tip of the flat head screwdriver into the deadbolt's keyhole under the bobby pin. Don't push the head on the screwdriver because you will need to be able to move the bobby pin up and down, in and out of the keyhole.

Step 3

Move the bobby pin up, down, in and out of the keyhole. Make sure that you are moving the tumbler pins up and down. Use the flat head screwdriver to turn the keyhole while you are moving the tumbler pins. You will feel the pins moving up and down as you move the bobby pin.

Step 4

Move the bobby pin up, down, in and out and try diferent combinations and angles as you move the bobby pin. .

You will know that the tumbler pins are correctly line up with each other when you turn the lock and it opens.
