How to Clean Dried Egg Off Vinyl Siding

Dried egg typically becomes a problem with vinyl siding when your house has been egged by mischievous kids. While this may seem harmless, the egg dries quickly onto the siding, making it very difficult to remove. When not cleaned quickly and effectively, the egg can discolor your siding.

Clean egg from vinyl siding with dish soap.

Step 1

Hose off the siding to soften and loosen the dried egg. In some instances, this will rinse off all of the egg residue.

Step 2

Pour 1/2 gallon of hot water into a bucket with 1/2 cup dish soap.

Step 3

Dip a scrub brush into the soapy water, and scrub over the dried egg. Dip the brush back into the soapy water after every few scrubs, and continue until all dried egg has been removed.

Step 4

Hose off the siding to rinse any soap or egg residue.
