Commercially produced cleaning solutions contain chemicals that can be a danger to the people and pets in your home. Cleaning your floors and furniture with vinegar can help you to avoid adding unnecessary chemicals into your environment. Completely safe, and even edible, vinegar has strong natural cleaning, disinfecting and deodorizing qualities that rival commercial chemical cleansers, and it has a track record of hundreds of years of successful use in cleaning homes.
Measure ½ cup of white distilled vinegar and pour it into a bucket.
Pour 1 gallon of warm water into the bucket with the vinegar.
Dip a mop into the bucket and mop the floor with the vinegar and water solution. Allow the floor to air-dry.
Measure 1/8 cup of vinegar and pour it into a spray bottle.
Pour 2 cups of warm water into the spray bottle and replace the cap. Shake it gently to mix the water and vinegar.
Spray the mixture over wooden, plastic, glass or other non-porous furniture surfaces. Wipe it away with a clean towel.
