The Moonwalk is a large, inflatable play area commonly used at children's birthday parties, community events and similar occasions. To keep the Moonwalk safe for use it is important to keep it clean and cared for. If mildew develops, it can carry harmful bacteria that could cause allergic reactions and respiratory problems, among other things. However, the mildew is fairly easy to remove. Keep in mind you do not want to use chemical ingredients on the Moonwalk because this is an area where kids will play.
Moisten the edge a cleaning rag with white vinegar and rub across small areas of mildew growth. Wipe with a damp rag and dry with a clean rag. This is often all that is needed for smaller areas of buildup.
Soak a cleaning rag in white vinegar and scrub down the Moonwalk. If necessary, use a nylon scrub brush for extra cleaning power.
Fill a bucket with water and dip the rag or brush into the clean water as needed and rinse off residue. Continue until all mildew is removed.
Wipe down the area with a damp rag and dry with a clean rag. Drying is important because you want to remove any leftover moisture, thereby preventing new mildew growth. Allow the unit to dry completely — air-drying if necessary — before storing.
