Bag Making

Step 1

Place a roll of Deni-supplied plastic bagging material into the sealer's roll compartment. Take any stickers off that may be present if you are loading a new roll of bagging material.

Step 2

Stretch the bagging material until it reaches about 1 inch beyond the unit's sealing wire, then close the sealer's lid.

Step 3

Push both sides of the lid down firmly and equally. Once the green lights are illuminated, then go back out, the material has sealed.

Step 4

Open the sealer's lid and rip away the extra plastic bagging medium.

Step 5

Stretch the material as far out as you wish your plastic bag's width to be and seal it by shutting the lid, pushing the right and left sides, and waiting for the green lights to illuminate and go out again.

Step 6

Pull the bag away from the machine. Make sure the sealing wire does not contain any excess plastic material.

Vacuum Sealing

Step 7

Open the side of the bag that remains unsealed, and place the food you desire to preserve in it. Leave an open space about 3 inches from the top of the bag, and keep liquids and food out of the area that will need to be sealed in the process of closing the bag.

Step 8

Lay the unsealed end of the bag over the unit's sealing wire and put the nozzle of the vacuum all the way in the bag. Shut the sealer's lid.

Step 9

Start the vacuum motor by pushing down on the left side of the sealer's lid. You should see a red light come on. Keep pressure on the left side of the lid until all air is gone from the bag.

Step 10

Add pressure to the right side of the lid, keeping the left side pushed down as well. This will activate the sealing function of the unit, which will be signaled by a green light. When the green lights shut off, the food has been successfully vacuum sealed inside the bag.
