How to Remove Car Wax From Clothes

Some stains require more time and effort to remove than others. Stains from car wax are undeniably some of the most resilient stains you can ever try to remove from clothing, but nonetheless it has to be done. Not only can car wax leave an unsightly mark on clothes, but it isn't good for your skin either. If wax has found its way to your clothing, there's a way to get it off, but it will take a little patience.

Remove Car Wax From Clothes

Step 1

Wash the garment as you normally would, but wash it about 3 times. Don't bother drying it.

Step 2

Lay the garment flat on a table or hard surface and expose the stain.

Step 3

Apply isopropyl alcohol to a soft clean cloth and rub it into the stain. Remove as much wax as you can.

Step 4

Launder the garment again. Check the shirt for residual wax.

Step 5

Repeat the process as necessary. When the stain is gone, place garment in the dryer.
